I was newly married and living on the east coast not too far from the beaches. My wife (at the time), was a dark haired Italian who could lie out in the sun and tan all day. I am fair haired and nordic and can get a sunburn in the fog. Needless to say, she enjoyed going to the beach, and I did not. I would go to make her happy, but did not really enjoy it, but I did enjoy looking at the lovely ladies. However, enough was enough and even the bikini babes did not make it worth while. One day I was talking to my downstairs neighbor and he told me of a popular nude beach just a 45 minute drive away. Hmmm. The sex at home was OK, but it could always be better. My fantasies were running wild, even though I had a wife who was babealicious. We had different days off, so I decided to drive out to the nude beach on my first opportunity. Not wanting to be found out, I slathered SPF 5000 all over my body before getting in the car.
My neighbors directions were right on. I drove to the proper parking lot at the National Park and began walking in the direction of the alleged nude beach. In a few minutes I began to see a smattering of nude folks, and then quickly ended up in a veritable amusement park of nudity. Now all kinds of folks will tell you how the nudity is no big deal and that they go to these beaches for the "sense of freedom". They may be telling the truth, but for me, its a playground of eye candy.

As a child from about 7 years old, my mate, his sister and I would take any opportunity on those hot Aussie summers to get naked under the sprinkler.. and on the odd occasion would ride our bikes naked up the street.. that continued for us boys but when my mate's sister got closer to puberty she gradually became shy about it.
When I was 12 the girl from across the road and also a class mate got the first in ground swimming pool in our street, directly across the road from my place, bingo!.. and we including her friend would start swimming in our usual swimwear until the dacking fights would start and all swimwear ended up across the backyard and up the tree etc.. which always seemed to result in skinny dipping.. and again as the girls got older it happened less often.

I guess my introduction to nudism was at my boyfriend's house back in the 90's. We went nude together whenever his mom wasn't home. Taking nudity out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, the living room, or even his backyard for some sunbathing was a new experience for me, and one that I really enjoyed.
At that time I still lived with my parents and can remember coming home one afternoon to find the house empty and immediately taking off my clothes to see what a "solo" nude experience was like. I enjoyed that too, and soon was going privately nude in my room even when family was home. Once, my older brother came in and stood there grinning at me as I was laying naked on my bed reading a book. He said, "What are you, some kind of nudist?" I think I said something elegant like, "Get out, jerk!" but afterward was pleased to think to myself that I probably was becoming a nudist.

For the longest time, my nudity has been limited to my house, backyard, or remote areas with no one else around. Back in May, I was working a job in Alabama and had a 5-day weekend for Memorial Day. I had done a lot of research on the web about "clothing Optional" beaches and naturist/nude clubs and had read about Haulover Beach, so decided to go there for my first time.
So, I made the trip down there, but after checking into my hotel (which SHOULD have been fairy close to Haulover) I realized I didn't have internet for directions so I just walked down the beach. Needless to say, I didn't find it. The next day I DID find it. (Got good directions this time.) The parking area was arcoss the street from the beach and there was an underpass for pedestrians. When I got to the high shrubbery (to block the view rom the traffic) I saw a sign that said "You May Encounter Nude Sun Bathers Beyond This Point".

I remember as an early teenager going to the creek close to where I was living and wading in the creek with just shorts and shoes on. This happened often during the summer before the creek would dry up. Some years it did run year round. But I was by myself and there was a nice deep pool and so I stripped down and had my first skinny dipping experience. After that on occassion I would strip and enjoy wading and swimming in the creek. Didn't do much in my later teenage years. I still enjoyed being naked and slept nude some of the time, but not much outdoor nudism.
I do remember when I was about 20 going with a friend on a road trip. There were three of us and we had camped along the Colorado river in souther Utah. We ended up going skinny dipping and then hanging out around the fire nude. Was a very fun experience.
Not much happened after that and with getting married and working on the career, didn't think much about nudity or find ways to enjoy a nudist lifestyle. My first social nudism was during a PE class in Junior High School. The teacher said we could wear our birthday suits during our swim class. The first day I started to put on a swim suite when a friend of mine reminded me we could swim in our birthday suits and said he was going to and suggested that I join him so I did, This was all boys only PE class. It's difficult to know exactly when or where my first nude experience was like except being very young playing in the water.
I used to be a member of a club where my favourite place and activity was to swim laps in the pool. It felt free being there without a swimsuit. Back then work consumed much of my time, however, those trips were well worth the drive since it was a place which allowed me to become more socially & spiritually connected with the few very special people there. It was nice to attend an event; although it was the nature and quiet times I enjoyed the best. Being there seemed like a 'little piece of heaven'.
Often there were times, while driving freely down the frontage road on hot summer days, the highway to the right was crowded with cars inching their way to the beach. I'd chuckle inside thinking . . .
